How is guest access to properties managed and facilitated?

AirKeeper offers several options for managing guest access to properties:

Portable Lockbox: AirKeeper's most common type of lockbox is a portable one, resembling an oversized padlock. It can be temporarily attached to the property or a nearby location, providing flexibility for movement or removal when necessary. These lockboxes are covered by AirKeeper and stay the property of AirKeeper. Therefore upon management with Airkeeper ending they are removed.

Permanently Placed Lockbox: AirKeeper also recommends permanently placed lockboxes. Owners can install these lockboxes, or we can arrange for a handyman to install them at the owner's cost. These lockboxes are physically screwed into the wall for added security, better presentation and easy access for guests. If the mailbox allows for install of a fitted lock then https://condokey.com.au/ may be a viable solution for owners.

Smart Locks: Some owners prefer smart locks instead of physical keys for their front door. However, even with smart locks in place, AirKeeper requires owners to provide us with a physical set of keys for backup purposes in case of smart lock failures.

Third-Party Key Storage: In certain situations where neither of the above lockbox options is feasible, AirKeeper may utilise third-party key storage facilities or key delivery services. This ensures that guest access is still well-managed. This is generally on charged to guests through the cleaning fee.

AirKeeper typically recommends installing a smart lock if possible, followed by permanently placed lockboxes on the wall. Portable lockboxes are considered a last resort, and third-party providers are used when no other options are suitable. The goal is to ensure the best possible guest experience through efficient and secure access arrangements.
